Justin Prazen

Thanks for coming by.  INFINITE Creative is something I have worked on for many nights and weekends for the past couple of years.  It started by slowly realizing that there are sooo many people who are interested in graphics and gaming.  People still ask me “How can I get a job like that?” and I thought that I should put something together to help them find the answer to that question.

So, who am I?  My name is Justin Prazen.  I grew up in Salt Lake City, UT.  At the age of 15 I was introduced to the concept of 3D graphics and I knew right then that’s what I wanted to do for a living.  I started out in the industry as a Modeler and Texture artist for a company called Viewpoint.  After that, I continued to Model and Texture for a company called Meshwerks.  I also started learning Rigging, Animating and Rendering.  Then I got hired by EA Sports and have continued learning everything I could about 3D Graphics.  I’ve worked at Electronic Arts for ten years now and I’ve made it through many different production cycles.  From Tiger Woods and Knockout Kings to James Bond, Simpsons, Godfather and Lord of the Rings.  I spent two years working on DeadSpace and am just now wrapping up on Dante’s Inferno.  My position at EA is called Character TD (Technical Director).  It’s my job to build the animation systems and rigs for the animated characters and props for our games.

I.  Love.  My.  Job!!!!

But, making games isn’t all fun and games.  A lot of people think that we just sit around and play games all day long.  I have a confession to make… after spending two years on DeadSpace, I honestly couldn’t tell you how it ended until I played the retail version just like everyone else.  I would create and modify the different characters in the game and then test them in a test level of in some specific spot in the game and then I moved on to the next character.  Now, I could play through the game in its early stages and get the whole story, but I wanted to experience that in its finished form.  I’m glad I waited because DeadSpace was awesome.

I got sidetracked about myself…  Where was I?  Oh yeah… INFINITE Creative.  I wanted to create a way to share with others my experience of finding the perfect  job.  So many people have expressed an interest in this field because it’s fun, creative and there is a LOT of it going on out there.  The internet is HUGE.  Gaming is and enormous form of entertainment and the industry needs talented people to create entire world full of fantasy, fiction and reality.  We humans are becoming more and more demanding in what we expect from our entertainment.  Will you be the next person to join the armies of men and women who are creating these alternate realities?  Make the decision and I’ll do what I can to help you get started.

The choice is yours.  The time is now.
